Harvest Thanksgiving Service
Will be held on Sunday, 6th October at 10am. Donations of the gifts of dried and tinned food can be brought to the church during September with last collection on 6th october. These donations will be given to StartUp Stirling.
who provide 8 foodbanks in the Stirling area plus provide a mobile Foodbank service throughout the Stirling Council Area to those who cannot get to a foodbank for either financial, physical or mental health reasons.
Each food pack contains the staples—dried and tinned foods—to feed an individual or family for 3–4 days. We rely almost entirely on the local community to donate these items. We purchase fresh fruit and vegetables for each client from community donations. Including fresh produce and bread as often as we can.
Around 300 people, a third of whom are children, receive emergency food from our Start Up Foodbanks each week.
We provide a lifeline to many who would otherwise go hungry, cold or fall into debt.
"If it hadn’t been for the foodbank I would have had to starve for the last 4 weeks"
